‘The Green Twins’

I don’t know why I’m so obsessed with these towers.

Sometimes, if I’ve walked for hours and not seen anything that’s caught my eye, I’ll head out later that evening and photograph them. I don’t really like taking posed pictures of people, so this is my version. My concrete model.

They’re not conventionally beautiful but they’re so huge and omnipresent they give a feeling of awe. Like standing at the base of a big square mountain. The neatness of the angles. The way the green almost matches the grass. The strange desire to make a giant version of Tetris with them.
