I take dozens of photos and write 2 or 3 articles a day in my notes app… and then don’t publish them.
That’s why I’m trying a new thing, which I’m calling ‘Lost Daily’.
I love the process of taking photos and noting down ideas. The feeling of never posting or completing anything less so. It’s the guilt feeling at 6pm on a Sunday when you haven’t started your homework.
So this is the start of a new project, one which I hope is a more manageable for my swirling, distracted brain. I’ll post a recent photo and, depending on the day, some text and we’ll see where it takes us.
Today’s photo is: The House of Jenga
This quirky structure has slowly been developing in Bow. It’s situated under a flyover in one of the busiest roads in London in a strange part of the city. On the one side Bow, the other Stratford. The canal, just a few yards away is peaceful and green but flyover is grey, polluted and loud. It feels, to me, like a space between two worlds.
Over the years I’ve come across some interesting characters and brilliant graffiti in this flyover. Little dwellings (usually a tent or two) come and go but I’ve never seen a structure quite like this.
