‘PS. Your Pigeons’

I’ve never understood this graffiti. I have walked past it hundreds of times and always the PS sticks out. What is it for? Did the water level rise one day and mask something important?

Today a group of pigeons framed the PS conundrum so I stopped to take a picture. I now feel absolutely convinced – more so than ever – that I still don’t know the answer.
